JIM'S POST ON FISHING - The Pike That Time Never Forgot

Then...   We hiked about a mile to Kingsmere Lake and I caught a nice Northern Pike shortly after I started fishing.  We strung it on a long stick, threw it up on our shoulders and hiked out. We took the fish into town, had it filleted and wrapped in butcher paper for the reasonable fee of $.25.  This provided us with several days of great tasting meals.

Now...   High waters over the trail prevented a return to Kingsmere Lake, but we found cooperative (but smaller) pike at Hanging Heart Lake nearby.  This time....catch and release.
