Saint-Sauveur

We got up to kind of a dreary day, but we still went exploring.  Our destination was Saint-Sauveur, a little village full of shops and tons of great looking restaurants.  It's in the heart of a winter ski area but is very popular in summer as well.   We had read about it and thought it warranted a look. We drove around some back roads, not really knowing the best way to go, but we found it and enjoyed the scenery along the way.  What we didn't know when we started out was that the Authentica Fiesta Cubana, a three day Cuban music festival, was going on. The place was hoppin'!  We watched a lot of music and dancing we hadn't expected. It was fun watching the people salsa dance in front of the bandstand. The village had a very European feel.  I can read the French signs, but it's hard to understand when people speak so quickly. (I'm very good at ordering a glass of white wine in French!)

Tomorrow we're going on a Montreal tour.  We decided to let someone else do the driving this time. Then if we go back again we can focus on specific areas and not feel like we've got to see everything in one day.  It's only 45 minutes away, so it'll be easy to make a second trip.
